Raina, a young literary scholar and poet, is on a quest. She is determined to find that all-consuming glorious love found only in Elizabeth Barrett Browning's sonnets or in technicolor Disney movies. So when Ryan, a scruffy delivery boy and aspiring fertilizer entrepreneur, tries to woo her with pizza and tickets to an Eminem concert, she quickly rules him out as Prince Charming potential. Even when Raina falls for a professor of medieval literature who possesses the perfect combination of brilliance and charm, Ryan remains determined to win her heart. A romantic comedy that follows a poet's quest for extraordinary love, String unravels the beauty of the mundane, exposing the ridiculousness of perfect love.
String was Runner-up for the 2006 Mark Twain Comedy Playwriting Award
